My life is pretty darn beautiful

Ah, yes, another year is upon us.  And as I reflect on 2014, I can't help but notice that my life is pretty darn beautiful.  Yes, last year was incredibly challenging and sad and a part of me is almost happy to see it gone.  There was loss, burn-out, depression.  There was defeat, sadness, frustration.  And I'm sure all that will visit our doorway again.  But, so far, this year, my life is pretty darn beautiful.  Sure, the house isn't pretty, my attitude wasn't pretty this morning, the laundry all over my bed waiting to be folded sure isn't pretty as all I want to do is fall down in my bed.  However, as I sit here, watching my youngest on my husband's lap, the boys battling it out Star Wars style, and my eldest painting her little heart out, I can't help but see beauty.  And hope.  And the promise of a brighter tomorrow.  So yeah, bring it on 2015.  Oh, and Lord, please help me see the everyday beauty amidst the chaos and challenges.
